🍪 Cookie Policy
Last updated: 12 May 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage technologies are, how CoralPlay uses them, and the choices available to you. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
By clicking "Accept All" on our cookie banner, you consent to our use of non-essential cookies as described below. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time.

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your preferred language or whether you have already verified your age — making your next visit easier and the site more useful.
Beyond traditional cookies, modern browsers also support localStorage and sessionStorage — mechanisms that store data directly in your browser without sending it to a server. CoralPlay uses both.
2. Types of Storage We Use
3. Cookies We Use
| Name / Key | Storage Type | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cp_age_ok |
sessionStorage | Essential | Records that you have declared being 18+. Prevents the age verification popup appearing on every page within a single session. | Session (cleared on tab close) |
cp_cookies_ok |
localStorage | Essential | Stores your cookie consent decision (accepted or declined). Prevents the cookie banner reappearing on subsequent visits. | 1 year |
| Game state keys | sessionStorage | Functional | Temporarily stores in-progress game state (current stake size, active round data) so your activity is not lost during page navigation within a session. | Session |
| Analytics cookies (3rd party) | Cookie | Analytics | Collects anonymised usage data (page views, session duration, device type) to help us improve the platform. Only set if you accept cookies. | Up to 13 months |
4. Third-Party Cookies
CoralPlay may use trusted third-party analytics services. These providers may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies. We only enable third-party cookies if you have provided consent via our cookie banner.
We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or any form of behavioural profiling. CoralPlay does not display third-party advertisements.
External regulator links (GambleAware, Gambling Help Online, NCPG) open in new tabs. These external sites control their own cookies independently of CoralPlay.
5. Managing Your Preferences
You can control cookie behaviour in several ways:
5.1 CoralPlay Cookie Banner
When you first visit CoralPlay, a cookie banner appears at the bottom of the screen. You can:
- Accept All — enables essential, functional, and analytics cookies.
- Decline — only essential cookies required for platform operation will be used.
5.2 Browser Settings
All modern browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Here are direct links to cookie management guides for popular browsers:
5.3 Clearing localStorage / sessionStorage
You can clear browser-stored data (including CoralPlay's age verification and consent keys) via your browser's developer tools or by clearing your browsing data. Note that this will reset your consent preference and the age verification popup will reappear on your next visit.
6. Withdrawing Consent
You can withdraw your consent to non-essential cookies at any time by:
- Clearing the
cp_cookies_okkey from your browser's localStorage (via browser developer tools → Application → Local Storage). - Refreshing the page — the cookie banner will reappear, allowing you to select "Decline".
Alternatively, contact us at [email protected] and we will guide you through the process.
7. Impact of Declining Cookies
Declining non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using CoralPlay. All entertainment activities (Memory Match, Treasure Path), the leaderboard, and all pages will remain fully accessible. The only effect is that anonymised analytics data will not be collected.
Essential cookies cannot be declined as they are strictly necessary for core site functionality (age gating and consent management).
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of CoralPlay after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
